Achievable Dream DVD series - coming soon!

O portal Horizons Unlimited vai lançar muito em breve uma série de 4 DVDs sobre "motociclismo de aventura". No último Verão, quando estive no Horizons Unlimited Mountain Madness, assisti a algumas filmagens. O portal anuncia o lançamento dos DVDs para 2009, a partir da Primavera, um em cada 1/2 meses. Um dos DVDs é dedicado inteiramente a motociclistas viajantes femininas (vulgo, gajas!) e foi/está a ser produzido pela famosa viajante Lois Pryce que tive o prazer de conhecer em Julho passado. Ela gravou entrevistas, escreveu o guião e mesmo a música deste DVD. A não perder, durante este ano!!

The new series of DVD's will highlight practical and essential information about all aspects of preparing and going on a major motorcycle trip. They will feature inspiring talks, including material from our presentation (updated this year), demonstrations, scenic images and video clips, debates on 'hot topics' and interviews with many seasoned motorcycle travellers, such as Sam Manicom, Chris and Erin Ratay, Greg Frazier and Herbert Schwartz. We've even interviewed Ted Simon in California, and Peter and Kay Forwood on location in Samoa!

What's covered? Everything you ever wanted to know about motorcycle travel.

- DVD 1 is Inspiration and Preparation, including planning, paperwork for you and the bike, health and medical.
- DVD 2 will cover the Kit - bike and other stuff, including which bike, preparing the bike, what to take and how to pack it.
- DVD 3 - 'On the Road (Again), will tell you what to expect at border crossings, practicalities, safety, health, and much more.
- DVD 4 - Last but certainly not least, we are producing Motorcycle Travel for Women, which will be directed and presented by Lois Pryce, veteran solo traveller through South America and Africa and author of "Lois on the Loose" and a new book out now: 'Red Tape and White Knuckles'. Lois promises us action, entertainment and hot tips, as well as coverage of 'women only' topics. Lois' husband Austin Vince (Terra Circa, Mondo Enduro) has filmed interviews and pieces to camera, and has also written the music for the whole series!

Those of you who have seen the current DVD know that it's not exactly high production values. For this series, in addition to producing several times as much superb content, we have invested in professional production and camera crew, equipment and editing. Filming is in broadcast quality wide screen HDV, incorporating multiple cameras.

So when is all this coming? We aim to have one or more of the DVDs available for Christmas 2008, and to be releasing them every 1-2 months through Spring 2009.
